Returns just got heaps easier thanks to our brand new online returns portal. Lodging a return is now simple and easier than ever, taking just a couple of minutes. Anytime you want to send back an item, visit our Online Returns Portal, or just navigate to the footer and click on ‘Lodge a Return’.

GINGER & SMART are happy to offer exchanges, credit notes or refunds on any items bought at full price online, as long as they meet our conditions:

  • Return is lodged through our Online Returns Portal here.
  • All returns are lodged within 14 days of receipt.
  • The goods are in a saleable condition, in their original packaging with all tags attached.
  • The goods have not been worn, damaged, washed or dry cleaned.
  • Shoes must be tried on soft surfaces as we cannot accept shoes returned with sole markings or scratches. Shoes must be returned in the original box.
  • We recommend choosing carefully on sale items as we do not offer refunds, store credit or exchanges unless the item is deemed faulty.


If the fit wasn't quite right and you want to swap it, an exchange is your best option and the cost’s on us!

You’ll receive a prepaid return label and the replacement size will be sent as soon as we’ve received notice your original parcel is scanned as ‘in transit’ by Australia Post. The quicker you return the original, the quicker you’ll receive the replacement.

Please note - this option will only be available if we have enough stock on hand of the preferred size – if stock is running low or it’s already sold out, you won’t be able to choose that size. If your size sells out before you’ve sent the original back to us, you’ll automatically be issued a refund.


If you’d prefer a store credit, just like an exchange, we cover the cost of your return.

When you submit your return, you’ll receive a pre paid label to send your items back.


  • Lodge all refund requests through our Online Returns Portal.
  • There is a shipping and handling fee for all refunds of $9 which will be deducted off your refund amount.
  • Once we receive the item back into our warehouse it will take 2-3 days to be processed by our warehouse team.
  • Your refund will be processed with your handling fee deducted.
