The response to the 2018 ‘Strong & Kind’ Tote project was great and had a very positive impact on the refugee women in the Sewing Circle. They learnt new skills, worked as a team and made lasting friendships while producing a covetable tote for the Ginger&Smart x SWF collaboration.
The bag sold very well and most importantly helped get the message out about the powerful work SWF are doing to truly change the lives of so many women.
For 2019 we have designed a silk scarf to raise funds for SWF and to support the continuation of the Sewing Circle and we will continue to mentor the women in design and business, The Ginger&Smart x SWF scarf features an original artwork we created exclusively to celebrate the strong spirit of women supporting women and the great change that can happen when we bring our hearts and minds together.
We will also be supporting SWF through the I = change program through our website.”
